Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is now favourite with our football traders to get the Manchester United job on a permanent basis.
After claiming his sixth straight victory as interim boss with a 1-0 victory over Tottenham Hotspur, the bookies slashed odds to just 6/4 that the United legend is still in charge on the opening day of next season.
That means he’s leapfrogged Mauricio Pochettino (now 7/4) into favouritism, with Zinedine Zidane third in the betting at 8/1.
Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “If Sunday’s game was an audition for the permanent Man United job then Ole passed with flying colours, and that’s exactly what the odds suggest.”
