West Brom v Brentford Tips: In-form Baggies to rout struggling Bees?

Dwight Gayle - WBA

West Bromwich Albion and Brentford could hardly be in more contrasting form ahead of tonight’s Championship cracker at The Hawthorns.

The Baggies are looking for a fourth win on the spin, while the Bees’ recent run sees them in danger of entering a relegation battle.

Can the hosts take all three points in the Black Country, or will the visitors spring a surprise?

Match Odds

West Brom are 20/23 to bag another three points, as they face a Bees side who are just one of three Champ sides yet to win away this season.

Meanwhile, it’s 27/10 for the Draw and 29/10 for Brentford to end their dismal away run.

Goals can always be expected when Darren Moore’s side are involved. They’ve won three on the trot, but haven’t kept a clean sheet in 11 games. West Brom to Win and Both Teams to Score is a 9/4 shot.

The Baggies can also be backed at a huge 28/1 for a third 4-1 victory since the start of October.

Talking Tactics

Moore’s side tend to go with three at the back, and boast a well-balanced midfield fivesome. Jake Livermore and Gareth Barry offer steel, with creativity coming from the likes of youngster Harvey Barnes and Matt Phillips.

Under head coach Thomas Frank, Brentford are firmly a 4-2-3-1 side. Their one shining light this season has been 13-goal Neal Maupay. He’ll lead the line once again.

Goalscorer Odds

Dwight Gayle is already on nine league goals this term, including braces in the home meetings with Reading and Stoke City. He’s 23/20 to net Anytime, and 7/2 to Score Two or More Goals once again.

Meanwhile, midfield prodigy Barnes has built a reputation for an eye-catching strike. He’s 21/10 to add to his tally.

For the Bees, French ace Maupay is 6/4 to get on the scoresheet.
