Quique Sanchez Flores early frontrunner for Southampton job

Quique Sanchez Flores is the clear favourite to replace Mark Hughes at Southampton, according to our latest odds.

The former Watford manager is odds-on at 4/7, way out in front of the other names in the betting. He’s available immediately after leaving Espanyol earlier this year.

Paulo Sousa is second back at 9/1, with Garry Monk a 12/1 shot in third.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “Southampton are well and truly in a relegation scrap and the early odds suggest Quique Sanchez Flores will be the man to replace Mark Hughes in the dugout.”

Saints are 18th in the table, with a tough trip to Tottenham Hotspur coming up on Wednesday night. Kelvin Davis will take charge at Wembley, where we’ve got the South Coast club as 7/1 underdogs.
