Our ambassador Noel Fehily has a busy Boxing Day at Kempton

I have a couple of days to relax now before the 26th. I always looks forward to these days because we have been so busy.

Obviously this year is different with the ground being too quick but once you get going in October we don’t have a day off until this stage of the year.

I start with The Big Bite at 12.50 and obviously it’s a good race. Thomas Darby wasn’t as good the last day when he got beat by Didtheyleaveuoutto but I think The Big Bite is a very good horse.

He was very impressive at Haydock and I don’t think we have seen the best of him yet. I think he will give a very good account of himself in this race. I think he’s my best chance of a winner on the day.

Turtle Wars  at 1.20 was unlucky last time. A couple of horses in front of him fell and he was nearly brought down going down the hill. He was completely taken out of the race.

I think he’s got a very interesting handicap mark and he is very capable of running a big race off that sort of mark.

I thought he would’ve got close at Sandown when he was nearly taken out of the race the last day. I think he has a big chance and I’d like to think he will be there or thereabouts.

I am on Bags Groove 1.55 in what looks a very good race. Santini was very impressive at Newbury and I think he’ll be very hard to beat.

Bags Groove was very impressive at Huntingdon but I think this is going to be a big test for him. You have Santini, TopoftheGame, The Worlds End; I mean it is a hell of a good race.

I think my horse it well up for running a big race but he’d have to up his game again against these horses. They’re a very good bunch!

I ride If The Cap Fits at 2.30 next. Obviously Buveur D’Air was very impressive at Newcastle and he’s the one we all have to beat.

If The Cap Fits has had a better preparation for this race then he had for his previous two races.

He was a bit fresh at Wincanton and then the other race came a bit soon for him at Ascot. I think he will run very well though.

He did a faster time at Kempton last year in the Novice Hurdle than Buveur D’Air did on the same day so I think this fella is a good horse. I am not saying he will beat Buveur D’Air but he will give a good account of himself anyway.

I don’t know much about Montalbano in the 3.40 but he was running well for Willie Mullins in Ireland. This looks a competitive handicap hurdle but I’m not sure how my horse will cope.

If I had a ride in the King George, I would like to be on Might Bite.

I know he had a big blip last time out but the track suits him and he was very good at Kempton as a novice and he was good in the King George last year. I think this track suits him really well and is the one I’d want to be on.
