Liverpool and Tottenham’s Champions League odds on the drift

Published:

Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur have fallen to eighth and fourteenth in the Champions League outright betting.

Both sides have it all to do in Europe, and following last night’s defeat away at PSG, Jurgen Klopp’s men saw their odds of winning the tournament drift to 16/1 – the biggest they’ve been so far this season.

Meanwhile, the bookies rate Spurs’ chances of winning the Champions League at 66/1, a price they share with Ajax and Roma.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “Spurs and Liverpool have it all to do if they’re to go all the way in Europe this year but the odds suggest the latter still stand more of a chance than Mourinho’s Man United.”

To qualify for the knockout stages, Liverpool must beat Napoli 1-0, or by two clear goals, while Spurs must go to Barcelona’s Nou Camp and match Inter Milan’s result versus PSV Eindhoven.
