The first round of the FA Cup threw up plenty of classic cup upsets and dramatic twists.

And with the Premier League heavyweights joining in the Third Round, it means teams are just 90 minutes away from a potentially money-spinning tie against Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City or Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool.

But there’s the second round to negotiate first. Here’s everything you need to know…

When is the FA Cup second round draw?

The draw will take place live on BBC Two from 7:00pm, ahead of tonight’s televised game between Hampton & Richmond Borough and Oldham Athletic.

How many teams are in it?

Before the Premier League and Championship teams appear in round three, 40 teams will contest 20 ties in the second round.

Who is in the hat?

The second round draw will include League One heavyweights Sunderland and Portsmouth, but the real attention will be on the Non-League sides.

There will be 19 names from the National League, National League North and National League South in the second round draw.

Some still require a replay to go through, but at least four teams from level six (National League North & South) will be in the second round. They are Guiseley, Woking, Southport and Stockport County.

When will the games take place?

The second round is scheduled to take place on the weekend of Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd of December.

Winning teams will be awarded £54,000 by from the tournament’s prize fund, and a place in the hat for the famous third round.

What are the odds for tonight’s match?

Hosts Hampton & Richmond ply their trade in the National League South. They’re 5/1 to win at home tonight to League Two’s Oldham Athletic.

The Latics famously reached the semi-finals in 1994, and are 8/15 favourites to win this evening.
