Thursday’s Nations League Tips: More joy for Finland and Belgium?

Teemu Pukki - Finland

The UEFA Nations League is back tonight, with a host of enticing ties to kick off this week’s action.

Among them are a daunting task for Iceland in Belgium, as well as big games for the likes of in-form Finland and Spain.

Ahead of kick-off, we’ve got another round of top tips for you…

Belgium v Iceland

This pair’s form could hardly offer a bigger contrast. The Red Devils have managed three wins and a draw since finishing third at last summer’s World Cup. By contrast, Iceland are winless in 11 games, losing five of the last six.

In the Match Betting, Belgium are hot favourites at 2/15 for victory. They won 3-0 in Reykjavik in the reverse, and a repeat on the Belgium -2 handicap is 21/20.

Roberto Martinez’s side pasted Scotland 4-0 in September, and are 7/1 to win by that scoreline again in this clash.

Meanwhile, having bagged a brace in the last two Nations League games, Romelu Lukaku is 9/5 to net Two or More Goals once again.

Greece v Finland

It’s been maximum points so far in the Nations League for Finland. The Nordic outfit have won all four games, keeping as many clean sheets in the process.

As for Greece, they’re nothing special at home. Angelos Anastasiadis’ side have served up just two wins in the last eight games on their own patch.

We make it 16/5 for a Finnish victory tonight, while Double Chance: Finland or Draw is a shade of odds-on at 3/4.

Visiting striker Teemu Pukki is already onto double figures for club side Norwich City this season. The Canaries ace is 3/1 to bag another goal here.

Croatia v Spain

Goals tend to be a given when these sides face off. Of Spain’s last 13 matches, 10 have seen both sides find the net.

Having mauled Croatia in a 6-0 win during the last meeting, La Furia Roja are 10/11 for victory again. Meanwhile, Spain to Win and Over 2.5 Goals is 11/5.

Sergio Ramos has scored in three successive games for Spain, and the Real Madrid ace is 9/2 Anytime in this clash.

Austria v Bosnia and Herzegovina

Austria may be even-money favourites, but Bosnia’s recent results suggest this won’t be an easy outing for Das Team.

The visitors are unbeaten in eight games since Robert Prosinecki’s arrival as boss, conceding just twice in the process.

It’s 3/1 for a Bosnian victory, while the away side are 5/1 to Win to Nil.

Their biggest goal threat remains Edin Dzeko. The AS Roma hitman has a tremendous record of 55 goals in 97 caps, and is 21/10 to Score Anytime here.
