La Liga Tips: Benzema on the scoresheet in Real win at Celta?

The latest round of La Liga fixtures before the international break sees Real Madrid head to Celta Vigo and Barcelona host Real Betis at Camp Nou.

Elsewhere, there’s a top four tussle between Sevilla and Espanyol, while Atletico Madrid welcome Athletic Bilbao to the Spanish capital. Those four matches make up this week’s La Liga Tips.

Celta Vigo v Real Madrid (7:45pm, Sunday)

Real Madrid look to finally be pointing in the right direction under Santiago Solari. The interim boss has led them to three wins in a row, including a 5-0 hammering of Viktoria Plzen in midweek.

Karim Benzema netted twice in that victory but needs to get back on track in the league. He’s not scored in La Liga since September. We have him at 21/20 to rediscover his touch Anytime v Celta.

Los Blancos should have the quality to prevail at 4/7. Celta have only won one of their last nine matches after all. However, the hosts rarely make it easy for Real at Abanca-Balaidos.

Antonio Mohamed’s men may have fallen to defeat in three of their last four home matches against Real in La Liga. But they’ve scored each time. It’s 4/9 for Both Teams to Score here, with 31/20 about a Real Win and Both Teams to Score.

Barcelona v Real Betis (3:15pm, Sunday)

Betis’ away record makes it difficult to see them getting anything against Barcelona. The Andalusia club have won once on the road and failed to score in four of their five La Liga away matches.

Their opponents are unbeaten at home in the league in over two years and should have Lionel Messi back and firing. He’s 11/8 to Score 2 or More, with Barca a 5/4 shot to Win to Nil.

Atletico Madrid v Athletic Bilbao (5:30pm, Saturday)

10 matches without a win for Bilbao doesn’t bode well ahead of a trip to the Wanda Metropolitano. Hosts Atletico have lost once in the league at their new home and have won their last three to nil.

Diego Godin and co. are 21/20 to Win to Nil again, or 1/2 outright. Antoine Griezmann returned to form against Borussia Dortmund in the week. He’s 11/4 to Score First, with Koke – who has three goals so far this term – a 5/1 chance Anytime.

Sevilla v Espanyol (5:30pm, Sunday)

Two sides in exceptional form meet in our final featured match. Sevilla have only lost to Barcelona in La Liga since mid-September, while Espanyol are second off the back of a six-match unbeaten run.

However, the hosts are still missing Wissam Ben Yedder and Andre Silva, who are responsible for the bulk of the team’s goals. That could let in the visitors at 7/2, with Both Teams to Score a 7/10 shot.
