Chelsea v Crystal Palace tips: Can Eagles upset in-form Blues again?

Published:
Willian - Chelsea

Maurizio Sarri’s Chelsea are in fine form at present, but must be on their guard this Sunday as they face a Crystal Palace side who tend to cause them problems.

Palace have won three of the last six head-to-heads, including a pair of 2-1 wins at Stamford Bridge.

Can Roy Hodgson’s side upset the odds again, or will the Blues prove too strong for an Eagles side who are winless in five Premier League games?

Match Odds

Chelsea are firm favourites for a seventh win in nine home games, at odds of 1/4. Meanwhile, it’s 9/2 for the Draw and 11/1 for Palace to pull off another shock win here.

Three of the Blues’ last four games have seen both sides find the net, and it’s 19/20 for Both Teams to Score. Meanwhile, you can get 3/1 on exactly three goals in the game, for the seventh time in eight head-to-heads.

As for a 2-1 home win at the Bridge, we make that an 8/1 shot.

Talking Tactics

Chelsea have gone with an attack-minded 4-3-3 in every game this season. It’s likely to be Alvaro Morata in the centre, with Willian on the left flank. Meanwhile, Pedro is an injury doubt, and looks set to be replaced by Ruben Loftus-Cheek on the right.

Palace tend to go 4-4-2 away from home, and there’s a good chance they’ll stick with the holding midfield pair of Luka Milovojevic and Cheick Kouyate.

Up front, Alexander Sorloth could finally turn his frequent cameo appearances into a start alongside Wilfried Zaha.

Goalscorer Odds

Eden Hazard has netted 10 times in his last 13 outings for club and country. The former Lille ace leads the betting at 10/11 Anytime, while it’s 13/5 he chalks up Two or More Goals.

Teammate Willian netted in last weekend’s win at Turf Moor, and has registered in two of the last five meetings between Chelsea and Palace. He’s 6/4 to strike again here.

Wilfried Zaha is the Eagles’ most likely goal-getter at 10/3. But Milivojevic could also prove popular at 7/1 Anytime, with the penalty taker grabbing a recent brace against Arsenal.
