Wigan v Warrington tips: Wane looks set to get perfect send-off

You couldn’t have written a better script for Saturday’s Super League Grand Final at Old Trafford.

Wigan Warriors are looking to give the perfect sign off to boss Shaun Wane before he departs following seven hugely successful years in charge.

As for Warrington Wolves, they’re eyeing up a first league crown since 1955, following so many near misses.

Head-to-Head and Form

Wigan have been lethal of late. The Warriors have won nine on the trot in Super League ahead of this clash, including a 26-6 victory over Warrington at the DW Stadium.

Things have been rather bumpier for a Wire side who’ve lost three of their previous seven – though they did look strong in last week’s 18-13 win at St Helens.

Wane’s men also have a long-term edge in the head-to-head record. They won each of the 2013 and 2016 Grand Finals against Warrington in fairly comfortable fashion.
