Steve Bruce 11/10 to leave Aston Villa before Christmas

Aston Villa blew a 2-0 lead to draw with Preston North End on Tuesday night. And having now won just one of their last 10 games, the writing seems to be on the wall for boss Steve Bruce.

The 57-year-old is now just 11/10 to exit Villa Park before Christmas, with the pressure continuing the mount.

Former Villans defender John Terry is the 3/1 frontrunner to replace Bruce, while it’s 7/1 for Arsenal legend Thierry Henry to take over the reins at Villa Park.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “It’s looking increasingly likely Villa will part ways with Bruce in the near future and while Henry was once a frontrunner to replace him, attention has now turned to former fan favourite JT.”

Next up for the Villans is a trip to Millwall on Saturday. If the visitors can’t come good on their odds of 27/20 for victory, odds of a swift Bruce exit could further tumble.
