Our ambassador Dan Skelton talks us through his runners this weekend

We are much happier with our horses now and looking forward to getting going full bore.

We had a few nice winners last week including Spiritofthegames and they are about where they should be now.

We have three meetings to look forward to on Saturday. We have one runner at mouni, Solo Saxophone (2.50). Bridget Andrews will be on board.

He ran nicely on his last run in the Fred Winter. Since then he has had a wind op, been gelded, and I think there’s a bit of improvement to come. He’s stepping up in trip as well which isn’t a negative.

He has to be competitive but remember he is a four-year-old against the older horses which can sometimes be difficult.

I have one runner at Stratford (3.35), Excellent Team, and young amateur in the yard Will Marshall rides him.

It is a moderate race, so he’ll have some sort of chance, but he is difficult to win with. I’ll put the blinkers on to see if we can help.

Harry Skelton heads to Ffos Las where we start with Etamine Du Cochet (2.45). She’s a very nice four-year-old mare, who finished second to We Have A Dream at Warwick last year.

We are really excited to get her started. The track will be great for her and the ground will be perfect.

Tommy Rapper runs in a Novices’ Chase at 3.55. We had a good year last year but it just didn’t quite come together at Cheltenham.

It is hard to do it there obviously but he won three races nonetheless. For whatever reason, he always needs a first run so I don’t think he should be favourite for that reason plus it is a very deep novice chase.

There will be plenty of big days to be had with him.

We have two in the Welsh Champion Hurdle (4.25). Ch’Tibello hasn’t quite looked the same in early training this year.

I think he’s suffering from a hard season last year against some great horses and he doesn’t look like he’s there at the moment. We will probably have to lower our sights but we’ve just got to get him started for now.

Mohaayed will be ridden by Harry. He hasn’t been seen since he won the County Hurdle at Cheltenham.

The ground will be lovely for him which is why we are taking the opportunity. I am looking forward to getting his season started.

I am not sure where we will go after this but it will give us some indication. He is fairly straight fitness wise.

We run Zamparelli in the Handicap Chase (4.55). He’s looked quite progressive, winning his last two. Again he will love the ground and the track. He is fairly ready now and should go well.

In the bumper, we run a nice horse called Elton Des Mottes (5.30). I feel it’s a very strong bumper though. He ran nicely at Market Rasen and I think we’ll see the benefits of him having had a run.

I do like him as a hurdler and chaser going forward. Here, we just want him to run well and show plenty. If he can win that would be great but if he can’t we won’t be hanging our heads.

Ffos Las will be lovely ground but we need some rain now to keep the momentum going next week and beyond!
