Man City 4/1 favourites to lift the Champions League; Man United 40/1

Manchester City are now clear favourites to lift this year’s Champions League title, following last night’s 3-0 win at Shakhtar Donetsk.
That result was Shakhtar’s heaviest home loss in over three years, and on the back of that trouncing Man City are 4/1 to win the UCL.
That puts daylight between them and 5/1 shots Barcelona, while Juventus – who won at Old Trafford last night – are 11/2 to win Europe’s biggest prize.
Last season’s finalists Liverpool are available at 8/1 to go one better this season, and face Crvena Zvezda tonight.
As for Manchester United, they’re now way out at 40/1, the longest price they’ve ever been during the group stage of the Champions League.
Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “Punters clearly think City can go all the way in Europe this season and it’s no surprise to see Pep’s men head the betting at this stage.”
