Hazard being readied to be the next Real Madrid star?

Eden Hazard is now odds on with our traders to become a Real Madrid player next season.

The two time Premier League winner is 4/6 on after again being sounded out by the Spanish giants about a possible move away from Stamford Bridge.

A deal looked close last summer, but Hazard stayed in West London and has arguably been the Premier League’s standout performer.

He has helped his side stay in close contention with joint-leaders Manchester City and Liverpool in the league which has only increased interest.

The news that former Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is now just 3/1 to become manager at Bernabeu by the time the new season begins has heightened optimism in Madrid.

Ladbrokes’ Alex Apati said: “It’s hard to see both Hazard AND Conte at Madrid next season, but the odds suggest the Belgian is the most likely of the two to join the Galacticos.”

Nonetheless, Hazard himself told the London Evening Standard, “Real Madrid is the best club in the world. I don’t want to lie…sometimes I wake up and think I want to go [to Real Madrid].”

A player of Hazard’s calibre would only help to fill the void left by Cristiano Ronaldo’s depature.

In games such as this weekend’s El Clasico the Los Blancos faithful will be crying out for a hero. Gareth Bale may love being the main man, but the Madrid top brass will want to bring someone else in.
