Conor McGregor 5/1 for shock UFC retirement announcement

Conor McGregor suffered defeat in Vegas against Khabib Nurmagomedov at the weekend. And the latest odds suggest the Crumlin-born fighter could be about to make a shock retirement from UFC.

Following his fourth career defeat, odds of McGregor hanging up his gloves have been cut from 10/1 to 5/1.

Having previously made the brief jump from Octagon action to Boxing when he faced Floyd Mayweather Jr. last year, the 30-year-old is no stranger to a new challenge.

That’s seen his odds of joining WWE’s roster in the next 12 months priced up at 6/1.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “McGregor was brushed aside against Khabib in Vegas, making a rematch unlikely, and that means we’ve cut odds on The Notorious retiring as a result.”
