Scotland v Albania Tips: Can the Tartan Army bag a Nations League win?

Scotland betting news

Scotland will be looking to bounce back from Friday’s 4-0 defeat to Belgium when they take on Albania in the Nations League tonight.

Alex McLeish’s men had no answer to Romelu Lukaku and co. at Hampden Park last week. Will they fare any better in their inaugural League C, Group One fixture?

Match Odds

The Tartan Army have lost their last three matches at Hampden and are 4/5 to make amends here.

Albania can be backed at 19/5, with a draw in the first meeting between the two sides available at 9/4.

Talking Tactics

McLeish looks set to stick with a 3-5-1-1 formation but could rotate some of his personnel.

Craig Gordon is poised to replace Allan McGregor, with Robert Snodgrass and Tony Jack also pushing for starts.

Scotland need to add more creativity to their game and cut out the silly mistakes at the back.

If they can do that, they should stand a decent chance against an Albania side which has won just seven competitive away matches since 2005.

Christian Panucci’s men will likely sit back and attempt to soak up the pressure before hitting the hosts on the break.

Goalscorer Odds

Celtic star Leigh Griffiths is considered the most likely to break the deadlock.

The 28-year-old has bagged three goals in his last six matches at Hampden and is 4/1 to Score First.

Andrew Robertson offers a consistent threat at full-back and has two goals for his country thus far.

You can back him to add to that tally at 25/1 to Score Last.

By contrast, the visitors have failed to score in four of their last six matches.

Bekim Balaj is rated as their best hope going forward at 17/2 to Score First, a price he shares with Sindrit Guri.
