Pochettino under pressure? Potential Spurs replacements priced up

Our traders think Mauricio Pochettino could be on his way out as Tottenham Hotspur manager in the near future.

Spurs let their lead slip to lose 2-1 against Inter Milan on Tuesday. They’ve lost three games in a row for the first time under the Argentine.

Pochettino is now just 2/1 not to be in charge at White Hart Lane in 12 months.

If he does go, Julian Nagelsmann and Eddie Howe are joint 10/1 favourites to replace him. They’re both young managers who’ve impressed with attacking football at relatively small clubs.

Zinedine Zidane, Diego Simeone, Javier Calleja, Marcelinho and David Wagner all follow at 16/1.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “Still trophyless under Poch and after three defeats on the bounce, are Daniel Levy and co beginning to grow tired of their current boss? While it’s unknown if or when the Argentine will leave, at this stage it’s Howe and Nagelsmann who are the most likely names to replace him.”
