Liverpool’s title odds now shortest price since Gerrard’s slip

Our traders think Liverpool have their best chance of winning the Premier League this season since Steven Gerrard’s infamous slip.

The Reds’ impressive win over Tottenham Hotspur last weekend saw their odds of title glory cut from 5/2 to 2/1. That’s the shortest they’ve been since Gerrard’s nightmare against Chelsea in April 2014.

Manchester City are still 8/11 favourites to defend their title.

Jurgen Klopp’s side have won all five of their league games so far this term. They’re currently second, just behind Chelsea on goal difference. Next up is a huge Champions League game against Paris Saint-Germain.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “Five wins out of five and two points clear of odds-on favourites Man City, it’s hard to see Liverpool slipping up in the league at this early stage.”
