Liverpool, Leeds and Sunderland among best backed in each division

With the new season now firmly underway, our traders have revealed the best backed sides across England’s top five divisions.

We kick things off in the Premier League, where Liverpool (5/2) are by far the most popular pick with punters.

Jurgen Klopp’s men are the early pace-setters in the top-flight after racking up four wins from four matches.

In the Championship, Leeds United (7/1) are attracting plenty of attention following their electric start under Marcelo Bielsa.

One rung further down and Sunderland, current 6/4 shots for the League One title, are twice as popular as any other side to win the division come next May.

Elsewhere, Notts County sit top of the popularity charts in League Two.

Their dismal start to the season will have punters worrying, though, as Harry Kewell bids to move the Magpies off the foot of the table.

Meanwhile, the Class of 92 backed Salford City are the public’s favourites to win the National League this season.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “Things are looking good for punters backing Liverpool, Leeds and Sunderland – but it looks as though Notts County may well have saved us a hefty payout come next May!”
