Henry Cavill has odds cut for Bond job amid Superman exit rumours
Superman actor Henry Cavill is now among the frontrunners to replace Daniel Craig as the next James Bond.
The 35-year-old is now just 8/1, from 14/1, to play Ian Fleming’s famous sleuth.
It wouldn’t be the first time Cavill has pitched up as a spy either. He performed a notable turn in the 2015 reboot of The Man from U.N.C.L.E.
Regardless, he remains behind a number of the big hitters from the industry, with Tom Hardy still leading the way at 2/1.
Idris Elba is just behind at 4/1, followed by James Norton at 8/1.
Bodyguard actor Richard Madden is available at 10/1, as we reported last week.
Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “Reports suggesting Cavill will leave Warner Bros have left us with no choice but to slash odds on him playing another of Hollywood’s biggest names.”
