Fulham v Watford Tips: Mitrovic on target in tight Thames tussle?

Craven Cottage - Fulham

The Premier League gets underway this weekend with a sizzler between Fulham and Watford at lunchtime today.

Both sides will be looking to bounce back from defeats to the two Manchester clubs last weekend. But who will come out on top by the Thames?

Match Odds

Fulham have adapted well on their return to the Premier League. The Cottagers picked up four points from four matches prior to defeat against Manchester City last weekend.

They’re 7/5 to register a second home league win of the season here.

Last weekend’s defeat to Manchester United is the only blot on Watford’s copy book thus far.

You can back them at 9/5 for a third away win of the season in all competitions.

The draw is available at 12/5, with a 1-1 stalemate between two evenly matched sides at 11/2.

Talking Tactics

Slavisa Jokanovic is expected to name a more attack-based side than at the Etihad Stadium a week ago.

Joe Bryan should fill-in at left-back, allowing Ryan Sessegnon to support Aleksandar Mitrovic up-front.

Andre-Frank Anguissa could also return as Fulham look to retain more of the ball.

Watford boss Javi Gracia may make changes to counter the pace of Sessegnon and Schurrle.

Kiko Feminia and Jose Holebas are prime candidates, while Gerard Deulofeu provides a real threat from the bench.

Fulham will have to be on their guard to quell the threat posed by the Hornets from set-pieces.

Goalscorer Odds

Mitrovic has been a man in form since joining the Cottagers permanently from Newcastle United.

The Serbian has four goals in five Premier League matches so far.  He’s 7/5 Anytime or 5/2 to bag his third brace of the season for club and country.

Meanwhile, the visitors will be looking towards Troy Deeney to bag this third goal of the campaign. You can back him at 2/1 Anytime.

Returning hero Deulofeu isn’t guaranteed to start but could make a cameo appearance from the bench. It’s 17/2 that he Scores Last in the contest.
