England v Switzerland tips: Will Three Lions halt losing streak?

Gareth Southgate England

For all the positivity of the summer, England have now lost each of their last three games.

And Gareth Southgate could become the first England manager to lose four straight games when Switzerland visit tonight.

He’s set to name an experimental line-up at the King Power Stadium. Will the risk pay off?

Before the friendly kicks-off, we’ve got all your odds right here:

Match Odds

Even though Southgate will rest many of his big names, England are 4/5 favourites to win this one. They’ve won 15 of the previous 23 meetings between these sides and only lost three. The most recent defeat was all the way back in 1981.

The Swiss are out at 19/5. They come into this game having just beaten Iceland 6-0 in Nations League action.

The draw is priced at 12/5.

Talking Tactics

Southgate could make nine changes from the side that lost 2-1 to Spain on Saturday.

That means the unfamiliar Three Lions side could find it hard to get going. The likes of Fabian Delph, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Danny Welbeck have barely played for their clubs this season.

Switzerland are likely to name a strong side, including familiar faces such as Xherdan Shaqiri and Granit Xhaka. Denis Zakaria could be one to watch in midfield.

Goalscorer Odds

If Kane doesn’t start, Marcus Rashford is the likeliest goalscorer at 2/1. The Manchester United forward is also 5/1 to open the scoring for the second game running.

Welbeck almost got on the scoresheet against Spain. He’s 21/10 to do it here.

Switzerland’s star striker Haris Seferovic is 16/5 to get a goal for the visitors. Liverpool winger Shaqiri is a 10/3 shot too.
