Which promoted side will do best in the Premier League this season?

With the transfer window about to close, we have a good idea now of how Premier League sides are looking ahead of the new season.
The first season in the top flight is always a big challenge for promoted sides. But it’s not impossible by any means. Newcastle United, Brighton & Hove Albion and Huddersfield Town all stayed up last season.
Wolverhampton Wanderers, Cardiff City and Fulham are making the step up this term. Which of the promoted sides could shine?
Can Cardiff cut it?
Cardiff could be in for a long season. They’re 8/13 favourites to go down.
Neil Warnock has won promotion eight times during his long managerial career. But he’s found it tough to make his mark in the Premier League. Spells at Sheffield United, Queen’s Park Rangers and Crystal Palace have ended unhappily for various reasons.
The Bluebirds will be resilient and tough to beat. They’ve have brought in the likes of Bobby Reid, Josh Murphy and Greg Cunningham too. But they may still be short of the standard required.
Fulham full of optimism
Fulham are 2/1 to be relegated, but they’ll be setting their sights much higher after some very impressive business. Slavisa Jokanovic’s side are 5/1 to finish in the top-half.
It’s not that long ago that Jean Michael Seri was close to join Barcelona. Bringing him to West London is a real coup.
Aleksandr Mitrovic has returned to give them a cutting edge. Calum Chambers and Alfie Mawson should form a solid defensive partnership. Andre Schurrle offers a real threat out wide too.
And in Ryan Sessegnon, they have a potential superstar.
Wolves hunting success
But it’s Wolves who look in the best shape after their spending spree. They’ve added the likes of Adama Traore, Joao Moutinho and Willy Boly to the squad that stormed their way to the Championship title. Diogo Jota has signed on a permanent deal too.
Ruben Alves looked like a Premier League midfielder in waiting last term. Now he’s got the chance to show what he can do on the big stage.
We’ve got Wolves at 11/10 to finish in the top-half. They’re a 9/1 outside shot to break into the top six too.
