It’s been a busy day on the transfer rumour reel with a couple of done deals and a number of gossipy bits to keep us entertained.

As always, we round up the major talking points of the day…

Richarlison sealed!

It took them a while but Everton have finally got the Richarlison deal signed, sealed and delivered. The big Brazilian arrives from Watford for a hefty £40m.

The Toffees were one of three Premier League sides yet to make a signing. But Marco Silva has got his man. The 21-year-old can play on the wing or up-front and should be a sterling addition on the blue half of Merseyside.

Spurs to gazump Chelsea for Zaha?

Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly joined Chelsea in the race for Wilfried Zaha. The Crystal Palace winger is a wanted man and the Eagles value him at upwards of £50m.

Spurs have yet to sign anyone this summer. And the North Londoners have been heavily linked with Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish. But Zaha would also be a canny addition.

Chelsea have also been linked with a move for Manchester United’s Anthony Martial. But that move would surely depend on any prospective Eden Hazard move to Real Madrid?

Alderweireld again!

Speaking of Man United, the links with Toby Alderweireld simply refuse to die. The Spurs defender has been constantly linked with a move to Old Trafford and is currently 8/11 to sign for Jose Mourinho’s outfit.

And the Portuguese coach could certainly do with a top-class centre-half on his books. Phil Jones and Chris Smalling just don’t cut the mustard if Man City are to be overhauled.

Palace in for Kouyate?

In a surprise move, Palace are rumoured to be swooping on London rivals West Ham United for their midfield enforcer, Cheikhou Kouyate.

The powerful Senegalese player could be the perfect replacement for departed Yohan Cabaye and Ruben Loftus-Cheek. Not for the two of them, obviously – he’s not N’Golo Kante!

Rob Green back in the big time

Chelsea have rocked the transfer window with a move for an England international goalkeeper – Rob Green.

However, don’t worry Blues fans, the 38-year-old has signed on as third-choice keeper. And he won’t cost a penny, either.

Green’s arrival will help boost the club’s homegrown quota ahead of the new season.
