Thursday’s transfer rumour round-up: Zaha and Bonucci involved

Leonardo Bonucci

There’s a shortened transfer window this summer, which means Premier League sides are running out of time to get their business done.

Things are starting to speed up now, as the opening day of the season comes into sight.

We’re helping you stay on top of all the comings and goings with today’s transfer talk…

Everton plotting ambitious Zaha move

Everton are looking to move up to the next level under new boss Marco Silva. And they believe Crystal Palace star Wilfried Zaha could help them get there.

Zaha shone for Palace last season and he wouldn’t come cheap. But his speed and skill make him a handful for any defence. Are Everton prepared to pay a huge sum for the winger?

Bonucci on the move?

Leonardo Bonucci has only been at AC Milan for a year, but the club’s financial woes means they may have to sell.

That means there could be a bargain available for one of the best defenders around. He’s been linked with Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea. He’d be a great signing for any of them.

Ward in, Schmeichel out?

Leicester City have agreed a £10m fee with Liverpool for talented goalkeeper Danny Ward. But does that mean Kasper Schmeichel could be on his way? The Denmark international has been linked with a move to Chelsea.

Mawson to Turf Moor?

Burnley are understood to be eyeing Swansea City defender Alfie Mawson.

The centre-back impressed in a struggling Swans side last term. He could really excel as part of Sean Dyche’s well-drilled unit.

Bye Boufal?

Sofiane Boufal hasn’t lived up to expectations since joining Southampton two years ago. Now the club are reportedly ready to let him leave after a falling out with Mark Hughes.

It looks like a loan could be the most likely option, unless they can recoup their £16m outlay on the winger.
