After an incredibly tense game, Gareth Southgate’s men made it through their last-16 grudge match against Colombia.
And the Three Lions are now just 4/1 to win the trophy – making them the joint second favourites with France, behind Brazil at 11/4.
Harry Kane is now odds-on at 1/4 to land the top goalscorer title at this year’s tournament.
Jessica Bridge of Ladbrokes said: “We might as well hand over the keys to the company now. Patriotic punters couldn’t get behind the Three Lions any more if they tried. And although it will cost the industry millions upon millions, we will payout with a smile should Kane and co. go all the way.”
