France v Belgium Tips: Who will shine out of Lukaku and Griezmann?

Romelu Lukaku

The World Cup semi-finals get underway with a corker between two of the tournament’s most exciting attacking sides as France take on Belgium in Saint Petersburg tonight.

Both nations have reached this stage thanks to blistering forward displays. Roberto Martinez’s Red Devils have scored 14 goals so far and seen off South Korea and Brazil in the knockout rounds.

France, on the other hand, have taken apart South American opponents Uruguay and Argentina and scored six of their nine goals in their last-16 and quarter-final matches.

It’s all set up to be an intriguing end-to-end encounter this evening, with Les Bleus the narrow 29/20 favourites. Belgium are 19/10 inside 90 minutes, while you can also back the draw at 21/10.

What makes this match so exciting is the sheer amount of attacking talent on display.

Antoine Griezmann, Kylian Mbappe, Romelu Lukaku and Eden Hazard will all be looking to make their mark once again after impressing throughout the tournament.

Lukaku showed against Brazil on Friday night that he is a man for the big occasion.

The Manchester United star didn’t get on the scoresheet against the Samba Boys but produced a blistering run to set up teammate Kevin de Bruyne to open the scoring.

He’s still the nearest challenger to Harry Kane for the Golden Boot and can be had at 9/2 to Score First tonight. You can back him 9/5 to Score Anytime.

Hazard also carries a threat Anytime at 12/5, as does defensive rock Vincent Kompany, who is 18/1.

Didier Deschamps will be looking towards Griezmann after the Atletico Madrid forward continued his impressive knockout stage form against Uruguay.

The 27-year-old has now scored seven goals in his last five major tournament knockout games. It’s 6/5 he bags Anytime and 6/1 he Scores 2 Goals or more.

Last-16 star Mbappe was given more attention in the quarter-finals but could experience some enjoyment against Belgium’s aging centre-halves.

He’s 2/1 Anytime or 5/1 to Score Last against tired legs.

On a similar thread, you can back Both Teams to Score at 5/6 and Over 2.5 Goals at 11/10.

If you think the match will go the distance, it’s 10/1 apiece for either side to win on penalties.
