Craig out, Norton in? Grantchester actor new favourite for Bond role

James Norton has emerged as the clear favourite to replace Daniel Craig as the next James Bond.

Punters have been backing the Grantchester actor in the last few days, and Norton now finds himself in pole position as the 5/2 favourite to don the famous 007 tux next.

He replaces Tom Hardy as the favourite for the role, with the Legend and Dunkirk star now a 3/1 shot. Irishman Aidan Turner follows close behind at 6/1, with Jack Huston, Cillian Murphy and Idris Elba all available at 8/1.

Jessica Bridge of Ladbrokes said: “Bond bosses are keeping everyone on their toes, but punters reckon that they’ll soon be announcing it’s Norton, James Norton, who’s their main man.”
