Saturday at the World Cup: Will Mexico seal last-16 spot?

It’s the second Saturday of the tournament and Germany are hoping it will be a super Saturday!

The defending champions’ loss to Mexico in their first outing has meant it’s do or die when they take on Sweden tonight.

However, with the likes of Eden Hazard, Hirving Lozano in action plus a pivotal game for Tunisia it’s the early games we want to focus on!

Belgium v Tunisia (1PM, BBC One)

Belgium made hard work of Panama at times in the first half. But after Dries Mertens hit a screamer moments after the break, the result didn’t look in much doubt.

Romelu Lukaku got his tournament off to the best possible start with two goals in the eventual 3-0 win.

Kevin De Bruyne’s sweet assist for the striker’s first goal turned heads and the Manchester City man will be key again today.

Tunisia were run off the park for much of the first half against England. But they stuck in there and got an equaliser before half-time.

South Korea v Mexico (4PM, ITV)

Mexico shocked the World when they out-played Germany and arguably should have won by more than one goal.

El Tri topped the CONCACAF qualifying group and took that momentum into the finals.

Carlos Vela, Miguel Layun and goal-scoring hero Hirving Lozano has been re-invigorated and know a win here would seal them a last-sixteen spot.

They’re 4/6 on to take another three points. Juan Carlos Osorio’s side had a host of chances against Germany  and its 5/1 for Mexico to win and Over 3.5 goals.

Lozano is 7/4 to score again. New Wolves striker Raul Jimenez is 2/1 to notch.

South Korea were downed 1-0 by Sweden on Monday. They rely heavily on Son Heung-Min.

In their last six games they’ve only won a single game. That was when the Tottenham Hotspur man scored.

Swansea City man Ki Sung-Yung will need to get a grip of the midfield to stand any chance of a South Korea win.

Son is 16/5 to find the net any time. Kim Sin-wook is the next favourite for Korea at 7/2.

Mexico are 4/6 to pick up the win. South Korea are at 9/2, the draw’s 5/2.
