Man United and Chelsea among leading pack to sign Lewandowski

Lewandowski - Poland

Robert Lewandowski is a man in demand right now, and the view from our trading floor is that the Polish hitman could be heading for the Premier League.

The 29-year-old has been strongly linked with a switch to the Santiago Bernabeu, and Real Madrid remain 5/2 favourites to sign him.

However, they’re closely followed in the market by a Prem duo.

It’s 7/2 for Lewandowski to join Chelsea. Last summer’s signing Alvaro Morata looks set to be leaving Stamford Bridge, and the Pole now looks to be their number one target.

Manchester United at 5/1 are the next most-likely Prem side, alongside Paris Saint Germain at the same price.

The Bayern Munich hitman is 10/1 to reunite with Pep Guardiola at Manchester City. The Spaniard brought Lewandowski to Munich from Borussia Dortmund in 2014.

They’re followed by a trio of Barcelona, Liverpool and Atletico Madrid at 20/1 apiece.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “Lewandowski could be the answer to Chelsea’s striker woes, with the betting suggesting they’re the most likely Prem side to make a move for the forward.”
