Going, going, Gove? Environment Sec. backed to replace Theresa May

Michael Gove has emerged as the new favourite to replace Theresa May as Prime Minister.

The Environment Secretary has been backed into 7/2 to replace the beleaguered premier, who is now just 10/1 to exit Downing Street by the end of the month.

Political punters have been backing her at 6/4 to be gone by the end of 2018, but with an upcoming crunch Parliamentary Brexit vote, our traders have indicated her time could be up even sooner.

That has led to money on Gove taking over at number 10, ahead of former favourite Jacob Rees-Mogg at 4/1.

Home Secretary Sajid Javid is also proving a popular choice at 8/1 following his promotion from Transport Secretary.

Boris Johnson is slightly further back at 12/1, with Jeremy Hunt, Ruth Davidson and Dominic Raab considered the next most likely contenders at 16/1 apiece.
