But that all-Americas clash is followed by two crucial clashes, starting with an impressive Iceland against a pacy and tricky Super Eagles side…

Nigeria v Iceland (4pm, BBC)

Despite boasting a fair chunk of attacking talent on paper, the Super Eagles have struggled for goals lately.

They won a fairly straightforward CAF qualifying group with little fuss, but have managed just three goals in their past seven games.

In truth, Nigeria never looked like troubling Croatia in a 2-0 loss on matchday one. With Iceland impressing against Argentina, they should grab the win here at 17/10.

Strakarnir okkar also have a striker in fine form. Alfred Finnbogason has netted in each of their last three matches. The FC Augsburg hitman is 19/10 to score Anytime in Volgograd.

With Nigeria seemingly out-of-sorts, it’s 16/5 for Iceland to Win to Nil. Meanwhile, the Nordic outfit are 11/2 to come good on the -1 handicap.

Serbia v Switzerland (7pm, BBC)

Mladen Krstajic’s men recorded a 1-0 win against Costa Rica in their opener – though in truth, their open encounter could have produced more goals at both ends.

They face a Swiss side who grabbed a hard-fought draw with Brazil on matchday one. This is likely to be a close-run thing, and it’s 19/10 for the Draw.

Meanwhile, the odds make it 24/5 for a 1-1 scoreline at full-time.

Aleksandar Kolarov bagged the Eagles’ winner last time out, but their most sustained threat came from Newcastle United’s Aleksandar Mitrovic. He’s 15/8 to find the net Anytime.

As for Switzerland, Haris Seferovic was their top scorer en route to Russia. The powerful hitman is 23/10 to register in this clash.
