One player that’s certain to be amongst this summer’s transfer rumours is Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder Fred.
The 25-year-old has been in superb form for the Ukrainian club. And Manchester United and Manchester City have reportedly been watching with interest.

Fred is a defensive midfielder by trade, but that doesn’t mean he can’t pick a pass. His ability to stop attacks and then get his team going forward quickly makes him an ideal modern midfielder.
He’s got the technique to slot into Pep Guardiola’s passing game, as well as the combative qualities that Jose Mourinho admires.
The former Internacional man is a real athlete too. He can motor from box to box if given the licence to get forward.
Plenty of experience
Fred knows just what it takes to win a title. He helped Shakhtar to a domestic double in the season just gone.
He’s also played against some of Europe’s top sides in the Champions League, including City.
He’ll be at the World Cup too as a member of Brazil’s squad this summer.
It would still take him some time to get up to speed in the Premier League. But everything he’s shown so far suggests he’s got what it takes to be a big success in England.
