Frankie Dettori gives his take on the 2000 Guineas
I ride James Garfield in the 2000 Guineas. He is a lovely, little horse. He loves the straight track.
Apart from his nightmare run in the Breeders’ Cup where he didn’t have much luck, he has done well with everything that has been put in front of him.
He loves the scrap and he wears his heart on his sleeve. I think he will run a nice race. I don’t know what’s around but he should run a solid race like he usually does.
I know he won’t let me down. I think his price is about right; he comes into the fight being ultra-fit and will give it everything he’s got. He is entitled to be there and will give it a good shot.
I went to see Roger Varian this morning and we watched a video of Altyn Orda. She is interesting because in both of her races, she was sharp and she really finished the race strongly.
The mile will suit her. It looks wide open but I think she will run a big race.
I am also looking forward to riding La Ti Dar in the Pretty Polly Stakes. She won very impressively at Newbury by six lengths and is bred to die for.
It was a beautiful winning debut so I can’t wait to see what she’s made of at the weekend.
The way Cracksman made his comeback was just so encouraging! If it was up to me, Enable and Cracksman would never meet!
I really can’t say who I prefer. Now we will wait for the mare to come back.
I posted a picture of my foot on Twitter.… a nice blue toe! I was taking the saddle off Cracksman and the big lump stood on my toe!
Thank you CRACKSMAN for standing on my foot after the big win Sunday ? don’t worry it’s not broken! pic.twitter.com/YZpRahtQNO

I tried to push him off me but there was no chance, he weighs so much! I am fine though and have been to the gym plenty. All is good!
