England World Cup squad updates: Lingard 1/20 to make the cut

Published:

Our odds have revealed the 23 most likely players to travel with England to next month’s World Cup.

The latest prices show Eric Dier and Raheem Sterling are dead certs at 1/33, while Fabian Delph at 8/13 and Ruben Loftus-Cheek,1/2, are BOTH now odds-on to make the plane.

This’s comes after England boss Gareth Southgate announced he will name his final 23 man World Cup squad on Wednesday.

The Three Lions begin their campaign against Tunisia on June 18th in Volgograd. But host Nigeria at Wembley stadium on June 2nd in their first World Cup warm up match.

According to the latest betting, Danny Welbeck 4/5, Adam Lallana 8/11, Gary Cahill 10/11 and Trent Alexander-Arnold 10/11 will all just miss out.

Meanwhile Joe Hart at 4/9 is more likely than Nick Pope at 13/8 to feature in Southgate’s final selection.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said:  “Plenty of blockbuster names are massive odds-on shots at this stage, but a huge move in favour of Loftus-Cheek and Delph this week has massively damaged Welbeck and Lallana’s chances of getting a call-up.”
