Can Trump beat Kim Jong-un to the 2018 Nobel Peace Prize?

Donald Trump is now the joint-second-favourite to win the 2018 Nobel Peace Prize.

The President of the United States is out to 10/1 from 2/1 following the historic handshake between North Korean leader Kim Jong-un and South Korean premiere Moon Jae-in.

The pair are odds-on favourites for the award at 4/6 after they pledged to formally agree an end to the Korean War.

That leaves the US President set for second despite bringing the Korean leaders together. We’re not sure how Donald Trump Jr. will feel about that…

Meanwhile, Angela Merkel (16/1), Vladimir Putin (20/1) and Jeremy Corbyn (100/1) are just three of the outsiders who have been priced up by our traders.

Jessica Bridge of Ladbrokes said: “Love him or loathe him, Trump’s efforts to resolve the Korean war can hardly go unnoticed, however we believe the Nobel Peace Prize will actually be awarded to Kim Jong-un and Moon-Jae-in instead.”
