Buvac tops next Arsenal boss betting; odds suggest three-horse race

The latest odds on the next Arsenal manager are in, and our traders reckon it’s a three-horse race – with current Liverpool assistant Zeljko Buvac the favourite.

It’s now 5/2 for the Anfield number two to take over, having been as long as 33/1 for the Gunners gig earlier in the week.

The 56-year-old is followed in the betting by Carlo Ancelotti at 4/1, while Juventus boss Max Allegri is 5/1 to take reins at the Emirates Stadium next season.

Both men have had top spot in the betting at one stage, but now sit behind Buvac in the market.

Further down the market, Antonio Conte is 12/1 to leave Chelsea for Arsenal, while former Barcelona boss Luis Enrique is the same odds to fill Arsene Wenger’s shoes.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “The latest odds suggest Arsenal will appoint one of three men, and while Buvac is the shock favourite, we’ve slashed odds on Ancelotti over the last few days as the wait for Wenger’s replacement goes on.”
