Arsene Wenger is the early frontrunner to replace Zinedine Zidane at Real Madrid, according to our odds.

Zidane stunned the sporting world when he announced his departure today, just days after leading Real to a third consecutive Champions League triumph.

He leaves a huge void. And Wenger is 4/1 to be the man chosen to fill it. The Frenchman is available immediately after ending his 22-year reign at Arsenal last season.

His former North London rival Mauricio Pochettino is 5/1 second-favourite. But the Tottenham Hotspur boss wouldn’t be cheap. He’s just signed a new five-year deal.

Chelsea’s Antonio Conte is 6/1, as is Madrid legend Guti.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “Zidane’s decision has shocked the football world, and the latest odds suggest he’s set to be replaced by another Frenchman in the Madrid dugout.”
