Super Sunday Tips: Man United v Arsenal & West Ham v Man City
Sunday sees two stellar Premier League games, kicking off with a trip to East London for newly-crowned champions Manchester City.
And the day’s Prem double-whammy continues as Arsene Wenger makes his last visit to Old Trafford as Arsenal boss. Ahead of this double-header, we’ve got some top tips on the action…
West Ham United v Man City (2:15pm)
They may have won the title at a canter, but Pep Guardiola’s men aren’t taking their foot of the gas.
They proved that with a 5-0 mauling of Swansea City last weekend. And the new champions have dominated recent meetings with the Irons.
City have won all of the last six meetings, and the visitors are 3/10 for another win. They racked the goals up on their last two trips to London Stadium, winning 4-0 and 5-0 respectively. The odds make it 12/1 for another 4-0 Citizens victory.
Six of City’s last eight wins have come with a clean sheet, and it’s 6/5 for Guardiola’s side to Win to Nil once again. Meanwhile, the away side are 9/5 to Win Both Halves.
Manchester United v Arsenal (4:30pm)
The Gunners have been poor on their travels in 2018, but have a strong recent record at Old Trafford. They’ve lost just once in four visits to M16, and Double Chance: Arsenal or Draw is 9/5 this weekend.
There’s plenty of past history on both sides, as former players face their old clubs’.
Boyhood Red Devil Danny Welbeck has now scored in three of his past five games against United and is 7/2 to add to that tally. Meanwhile, ex-Gunner Alexis Sanchez is finding his feet in Manchester, and is 13/8 to find the net.
This fixture tends to throw up plenty of goals, and it’s 8/13 for Over 2.5 Goals on Sunday. Meanwhile, there’s 31/20 about Over 3.5.
One interesting nugget: the Red Devils have trailed and gone on to win in four of their last 10 games. It’s 15/2 for United to Win From Behind in this clash.
