Hampden Park sign

All eyes are on Hampden Park this weekend, as four Ladbrokes Premiership heavyweights do battle in the Scottish Cup semi-finals.

Saturday sees Motherwell face Derek McInnes’ Aberdeen, whilst Sunday’s game is promises to be a hum-dinger of an Old Firm clash.

Here are our tips ahead of this Hampden double-header…

Motherwell v Aberdeen (12:15pm, Saturday)

This fixture tends to go the way of the Dons. They’ve won six of the last eight meetings, though the Steelmen pulled off a rare win at Pittodrie in November 2017.

However, Aberdeen are in much the better form ahead of this game and should be good enough to win in 90 minutes at 21/10. Meanwhile, Motherwell are 13/5 for victory, while it’s 2/1 this reaches extra-time.

These sides rarely produce a goalfest. None of the last five meetings have seen both sides register, and four have produced two strikes or fewer. It’s 4/5 for Both Teams to Score – No, while the odds make Under 2.5 Goals a 6/10 shot.

The men in red should edge it – and could well lead from the early stages. They’ve been ahead at half-time in five of their last six wins. Half-Time/Full-Time: Aberdeen/Aberdeen is priced up at 5/2.

Celtic v Rangers (2:30pm, Sunday)

The last meeting between these sides was one for the neutral. There were five goals in total, with the Hoops eventually edging it 3-2 at Ibrox.

Two of the last four clashes between the sides have produced five or more goals. It’s 4/1 we see Over 4.5 Goals again at Hampden, while it’s a more modest 4/6 for Both Teams to Score.

There’s plenty of attacking talent on both sides. Celtic’s Tom Rogic netted in that 3-2 win, and has two goals in his last four games. He’s 9/4 to find the net.

Meanwhile, the Gers have Jamie Murphy in their ranks. The 28-year-old has been a revelation since joining in January, scoring in five of his last eight games. He’s 10/3 to Score Anytime.

In the match betting, Celtic are 4/6 to win, with 17/5 about Rangers and 13/5 for level-pegging.
