PL Darts Tips: Judgement Night, Anderson v Cross and a 41/1 Oche Acca

Peter Wright and Mensur Suljovic both require wins to increase their chance of survival on Judgement Night in the Premier League.
With Gerwyn Price already eliminated, it’s down to the Scottish slinger and Austrian arrowsmith as to who goes home in Liverpool.
Suljovic faces the unenviable task of taking on Michael van Gerwen, while Wright will go up against the in-form Daryl Gurney.
We’ve previewed both of those games and the rest of the evening’s action below…
Simon Whitlock to beat Gerwyn Price
It’s fair to say that Price hasn’t enjoyed his first foray in the Premier League.
The Welshman has yet to taste victory in his maiden campaign and has cut an increasingly frustrated figure in recent weeks.
His situation is unlikely to get any better against Simon Whitlock.
The Aussie has been a revelation over the last couple of months and returned to form with a 98.20 average in his 6-6 draw with Wright last week.
He hasn’t won since week three. But with the stats on his side, Whitlock should justify favouritism at 8/11.
It’s 5/2 that he finishes up as King of the Oche and 7/1 that he inflicts a fourth 7-3 defeat on Price.
Michael Smith v Raymond van Barneveld – Draw
These two both have ambitions of making Finals Night in May. So we’re expecting a tight contest in the second game of the evening.
The pair have chalked up a combined 39 180s in the competition so far. It’s 11/10 for there to be Over 6.5 on Merseyside.
Smith has won five of his seven matches in the Premier League already this season. He’s beaten Raymond van Barneveld in five of their seven meetings since 2014 too.
He’s 4/6 to inflict another defeat on the Dutchman here. You can get 11/2 on Bully Boy edging Barney 7-4.
Rob Cross to beat Gary Anderson
This should be one of the standout matches of the competition, let alone the night.
Rob Cross will be eager to return to winning ways after suffering a first defeat since week two against Daryl Gurney last time out.
Gary Anderson, meanwhile, has won two on the bounce and is the competition’s second-highest maximum hitter with 30 to his name.
We’re all set for an explosive encounter in the North West as both players look to further their claims for a spot on Finals Night.
Two big 180 hitters should pepper the T20 bed. It’s 11/10 for there to be Over 7.5 maximums.
Michael van Gerwen to beat Mensur Suljovic
Poor old Mensur Suljovic. The Austrian has the second-best average in the Premier League and a checkout rate of over 45%.
Yet he still finds himself facing elimination in Liverpool.
He needs a draw or a win against Michael van Gerwen for any chance of survival. But in MVG’s current form, that looks to be a tall order.
The Dutchman has won six in a row in the league and recorded a 104.47 average last week to retain his place at the top of the table.
Suljovic, by contrast, has lost his last three matches and is rated an 8/1 chance to upset the odds at the Echo Arena.
Van Gerwen is the heavy favourite at 1/5, with 7/2 saying he inflicts a heavy 7-3 defeat on his desperate opponent.
Daryl Gurney to beat Peter Wright
Wright and Gurney are players heading in opposite directions.
The Scotsman hasn’t won since week two, while the Northern Irishman is unbeaten since week four.
Superchin’s impressive 7-5 success over Cross in his native Belfast last week was one of the performances of the competition so far.
Against the below-par Wright, he should rack up his third victory in as many matches.
Gurney is 7/4 to taste success against Snakebite. You can get 13/2 on the Ulsterman inflicting more misery on the former UK Open champion via a 7-4 defeat.
The 32-year-old has also hit a league-high 37 180s in the competition so far. He hammered home nine of those against Cross last week.
It’s 8/11 that he outscores Wright in the maximum market in this one.
