Man City v Swansea tips: Home win likely but Swans can make it tough

Man City betting news

Manchester City have already been crowned Premier League champions, but they still have a goal to aim for – with the possibility of breaking a new points’ record.

But despite their dominance, it may not be all plain sailing against Swansea City.

The hosts have won five of the last six meetings, but only one of those victories has come by more than a single goal.

While a point is a big ask for Carlos Carvalhal’s side, it’s unlikely to be all one-way traffic. The Swansea +2 handicap is a 2/1 shot.

Not that these tend to be cagey affairs. Eight of the last nine clashes have seen both sides net, and Both Teams to Score again is 6/4.

Pep Guardiola’s men have entertained the neutrals throughout the campaign, with nine of their last 12 games seeing three or more goals hit the net. It’s 2/5 we see Over 2.5 Goals, while Over 3.5 is a 21/20 shot.

The home side have been very strong starters of late. The Citizens have found the net within the opening 10 minutes in four of the last seven games. They’re 7/2 to score in the first 10 mins.

So, who could be getting their name on the scoresheet?

David Silva bagged a brace at the Liberty Stadium in December’s victory, and the silky Spaniard has four goals in his last 10 outings. He’s 2/1 to find the net, and 12/1 to Score Two or More Goals again.

In the visitors’ ranks, Tammy Abraham is 3/1 to register for the second away game in succession.

As for the match betting, Man City are hot favourites at 1/9, while the draw is priced up at 8/1 and a shock Swansea win is a 25/1 shot.
