Man City v Liverpool tips: Is the comeback on?

Man City betting news

Will we witness one of the great European comebacks tonight? Or will Liverpool announce themselves as a genuine Champions League contender?

There are sure to be fireworks at the Etihad Stadium when Manchester City take on Liverpool in the quarter-final second leg.

Liverpool’s 3-0 lead would be enough to secure a semi-final spot against most sides. But City have the quality to blow any side away on their day.

However, Pep Guardiola’s side have hit a rough patch at the worst possible time. They followed their defeat at Anfield by letting a two-goal lead slip in Saturday’s Manchester derby.

It’s 1/2 that City win on the night. Liverpool are 5/1, with the draw going for 7/2.

City’s failure to get a vital away goal in the first-leg might cost them here. They’re 4/1 to qualify, with Liverpool 1/7 favourites to progress.

If the league leaders are going to do it, they’ll need to have their shooting boots on.

You can get 7/4 on a City win and 4 or more goals in the game.

It’s also 29/10 for City to win with a -2.0 Handicap and 7/1 with a -3.0 Handicap.

The hosts will need to keep the Reds out as well as pile on the pressure at the other end. Can they do it? It’s a big ask against this Liverpool side.

If the visitors can break through the City press, there’ll be plenty of chances for them on the counter.

Both Teams to Score is 8/13.

Mo Salah is the biggest threat on the break for Liverpool. He’s the top scorer in the Premier League and 6/4 to score at any point here.

For the home side, a fit Sergio Aguero could make a huge difference. The clinical striker is 3/1 to score 2 goals or more.

Raheem Sterling is 23/20 to score against his former club.

Who’ll be the last English club remaining in the Champions League? We’re not far away from finding out.
