Liverpool lead Tottenham in race for West Ham ace Manuel Lanzini

Liverpool have stolen a march on Tottenham Hotspur in the battle to sign Manuel Lanzini, according to our odds.

The Reds have leapfrogged Spurs into 5/2 favouritism for the Argentine’s signature this summer.

Lanzini has been a sought after player ever since joining the Hammers on a permanent basis from Al Jazira Club in 2016.

Now the race for his signature looks set to hot up with five Premier League clubs all priced within 10/1 to sign the 25-year-old.

Tottenham remain one of the front-runners at 11/4, although Manchester United could be a potential destination at 9/2.

Chelsea are available at the same-price, as the Blues look to freshen their squad up after a second disastrous season in the last three years.

Manchester City are also an option for the quick-footed midfielder. Pep Guardiola’s side are a chunkier 10/1 to land the diminutive ace.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “It’s looking increasingly likely Lanzini will be moving on when the summer window opens and it’s Liverpool who’ve emerged as genuine contenders for his signature in the last few days, according to the latest odds.”
