Everton v Newcastle: Magpies looking to leapfrog Toffees

Newcastle United travel to Everton tonight in search of a fifth consecutive league win.

They’re only a point behind the Merseyside club, who’ve not won any of their last three games.

The Magpies could climb above Everton into ninth with victory. But they’ve only won one of the last 10 meetings between the two sides.

The odds suggest their miserable run against the hosts will continue. Everton are 5/4 favourites. Newcastle are 9/4 and the draw is going for 11/5.

There may not be much to play for at Goodison, but both sides will want to finish the season strongly to send a message to their respective owners.
