Brighton v Tottenham: Desperate Kane able to fire Spurs to win

Tottenham Hotspur take their bucket and spade to the seaside as they face Brighton and Hove Albion at the Amex Stadium this evening.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side will still be licking their wounds after a 3-1 defeat to Manchester City at Wembley on Saturday.
Spurs are favourites for all three points at 1/2. The Seagulls are 11/2, with the draw available at 16/5.
Despite that loss against City, Pochettino’s outfit still have a decent chance at nabbing second spot after Manchester United’s defeat to West Bromwich Albion.
The North London side are just four points off United who currently lie in second place. A win would temporarily put Spurs one point behind Jose Mourinho’s team and really fire up the pressure.
However, it won’t be easy considering Brighton’s solid home record. Chris Hughton’s side have lost just four league games at the Amex all season.
The Seagulls aren’t safe from relegation just yet and know one more win will likely do the job. Spurs are the second best away side in the league, though, having won 10 of their 17 games on the road.
The only side outside the top six teams to beat them on the road was Leicester City. Brighton don’t really have the firepower of the Foxes, and have managed just 22 goals at home in 17 games.
However, Spurs have conceded in their last three away games – to Stoke City, Chelsea, and Bournemouth. Pochettino’s team have looked a little leaky with Belgium international Toby Alderweireld.

Harry Kane is five goals behind Mohamed Salah in the race for the Premier League Golden Boot. The England international is desperate to overtake the Liverpool forward and will be on the hunt for goals.
Kane is 23/10 to be First Goalscorer, and 13/5 to score two goals or more. For the Seagulls, Glenn Murray notched his 14th league goal of the season in the 3-2 defeat at Crystal Palace.
The 34-year-old is 23/10 to find the net Anytime. Jose Izquierdo also scored in that game. The Colombian has managed five goals in his debut season for Brighton and looks a real handful in most games. He’s 9/2 to find the net Anytime.
