Albert now odds-on favourite to be Royal Baby first name

The Royal Baby is odds-on to be named Albert.

Arthur and Alexander shared top spot in the market on Thursday.

But a surge of bets late last night after another apparent giveaway from the Royal Family has forced our traders to slash odds on the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s third born being named Albert to just 1/3.

Arthur has since been pushed back out to 11/4, while Alexander is now an 8/1 shot.

Elsewhere, James (10/1), Philip (12/1) and Henry (16/1) are also all on the drift.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “If Royal watchers are looking for hints, they’ll do well to find one bigger than last night’s with plenty seemingly certain Will and Kate have given the game away.”
