Aberdeen v Hearts Tips: McInnes’ men could edge low-scoring affair

Kenny McLean - Aberdeen

Friday night sees Aberdeen continue their bid to secure second place in the Ladbrokes Premiership. Derek McInnes’ Dons are up against a Heart of Midlothian side looking to improve on a run of two points from their last six away games.

This fixture doesn’t tend to throw up many goals. Just two of the last 11 meetings have produced more than a couple, and it’s 4/6 we see Under 2.5 Goals yet again.

Similarly, none of the last three clashes have seen both teams register, and a repeat of Both Teams to Score – No is priced up at odds of 7/10.

While a flurry of goals looks unlikely, there’s a fair bit of attacking talent on the pitch. Amongst them is Dons midfielder Kenny McLean.

The Norwich City loanee has scored in three of his last six outings, and broke the deadlock in the 2-0 win at Kilmarnock last weekend. McLean is 23/10 to Score Anytime, while there’s 13/2 for him to be First Goalscorer.

However, there’s a fair chance that nobody’s getting on the scoresheet before the interval. We haven’t seen a first-half goal in any of the last three meetings, and another 0-0 at the break is a 29/20 shot.

That said, the Dons should have enough to win this. They’ve tasted victory in four of their last five league games. They’re 8/13 for victory, while it’s 13/5 for the draw and a Jam Tarts win is 24/5.

One interesting stat is that two of Aberdeen’s last three Prem outings have ended in 2-0 wins. Another 2-0 triumph for the Dons is a 6/1 shot.
