Royal Wedding: Elton John odds-on to perform; Liam Payne now 25/1

Elton John is shorter than ever to perform at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding, according to our odds.

The Candle in the Wind singer has been backed in from 1/3 to 1/5 to sing at the nuptials on 19th May.

He could face competition from the Spice Girls who are available at 5/6.

The British quintet are rumoured to be considering a reunion later this year, while Mel B recently let slip on a US chat show that the group have been invited to the summer wedding.

However, things aren’t looking quite so good for former One Direction singer Liam Payne.

The 24-year-old recently performed in front of the happy couple at Westminster Abbey, who seemingly responded with laughter.

His odds have drifted from 8/1 to record-highs of 25/1 as a result.

Stormzy, meanwhile, remains available at 4/1.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “He doesn’t usually struggle in auditions but it looks as though Liam Payne’s Westminster performance has done little to convince the Royals to invite him along to their big day.”
