Odds slashed on Tiger Woods to win the US Masters

Tiger Woods will head to Augusta as one of the favourites to win the US Masters next month, according to our odds.

After a second-place finish at the Valspar Championship this weekend, punters have turned their attention to where Tiger’s next title will come from.

And with the Augusta major less than a month away, he’s just an 11/1 shot to go all the way, having been 33/1 a week ago.

Sharing that price with Jordan Spieth, that means only two players in the field are more likely to win the Masters (Dustin Johnson at 15/2 and Justin Thomas at 10/1), according to the latest odds.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “There’s a long way to go as far as we’re concerned but punters seem to think we’ll soon be seeing the Tiger of old, so we’re taking no chances at the Masters.”

Woods hasn’t won a PGA event since 2013, and has spent the last few years returning from back surgery.

The American hasn’t won a Major since the 2008 US Open, but is a four-time winner of the green jacket and will be seeking a 15th Major title in Georgia.
